City Announces Presidents' Day Schedule for Municipal Services


NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (February 13, 2026) - New Brunswick will observe the Presidents' Day holiday on Monday, Feb. 16. City Hall and most municipal offices will be closed. Public safety and emergency services will remain open.

The New Brunswick Free Public Library, 60 Livingston Ave., will be closed on Monday. Trash scheduled for pickup that day will be picked up on Wednesday, Feb. 18.

In addition, federal and state offices will be closed, there will be no mail delivery and financial institutions will be closed.

One of the most famous Presidents we honor, George Washington, had a memorable trip to New Brunswick in 1776; the British were nipping at his heels as his army crossed the Raritan.
