Strategic Investment in Geospace Data Acquistion Technology Expands Geophysical Capabilities

Geospace Technologies Corporation today announced a sales contract with largest Canadian engineering firm, who will purchase a twenty-level Optoseis Insight system for approximately $2 million. Delivery of the Insight, a fiber optic, high temperature downhole tool, will take place early in the first quarter of fiscal 2027.

Previously, this firm purchased an initial fleet of Pioneerâ„¢, ultra-lightweight wireless seismic data acquisition nodes for use in seismic surveys as part of a continued investment in the organic growth of its geoscience practice, expanding its in-house expertise, technical capabilities, and service offerings to support energy, mining, and civil infrastructure projects. Investment in the Geospace Insight tool and Pioneer nodes aligns with its focus on delivering high-confidence subsurface characterization and reducing project risk through advanced seismic data acquisition.
