Mid-County Regional Library Reopening May 11

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (April 28, 2026) - The Mid-County Regional Library, located at 2050 Forrest Nelson Blvd., in Port Charlotte, will officially reopen to the public on Monday, May 11, following extensive repairs from damage sustained during Hurricane Ian in 2022.

A reopening ceremony will begin at 9:30 a.m., with doors opening at 10 a.m. The public is invited to attend.

"We are incredibly excited to welcome our community back to Mid-County Library," said Hana Brown. "After three years, reopening these doors means so much -- not just for our staff, but for everyone who relies on this space to learn, connect, and grow. This truly marks a new chapter, and we're thrilled to begin it together."

Operating hours:
Monday: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Tuesday: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Wednesday: 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
Thursday: 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
Friday: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Sunday: Closed
