On October 25, 2025 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Maxim Ryzhenkov, and the UN Permanent Coordinator in Belarus, Rasul Bagirov, took part in the solemn ceremony of laying the memorial Alley of the 80th anniversary of the United Nations in Uruchye Park.
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the UN Country Team, the diplomatic corps accredited in Belarus, youth representatives, and veterans of the diplomatic service. The participants of the ceremony planted 80 lime trees, symbolizing the years of the Organization's functioning.
Maxim Ryzhenkov expressed confidence that the new alley will become not only an ornament of the capital of our country, but also a historical symbol in honor of the United Nations.
An information plaque has been installed on the territory of the alley on the occasion of this significant event.
The ceremony was held as part of the implementation of the Joint Action Plan of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and the UN Country Team to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations in the Republic of Belarus.
