Strava Adds Race and Club Event Discovery, Elevating Community-Led Training During Peak Running Season

New Events tab helps members find community on- and off-platform; Race Discovery brings Runna's races database into Strava for the first time

SAN FRANCISCO - July 9, 2026 - Strava, the app for active people with more than 195 million users in more than 185 countries, today announced a new Events tab within the app's Groups experience, along with a refreshed Club Organizer Hub at strava.com/club-organizers. Within the Events tab, Runna's races database is available directly within Strava for the first time, enabling runners to discover their next race and kickstart their training with custom Runna plans. The update reflects Strava's continued investment in the community features unique to the platform - clubs, group activities, and local events - while extending to race-specific moments for its running audience with like-minded peers.

What's New

• Events tab: A new sub-tab within the Groups experience surfaces upcoming events - group runs, rides, and races - tailored to an athlete's activity and location, making it easier to find ways to move and connect with others

• Races hub: Browse and discover upcoming races on the Events tab that match your next running goal, schedule and preferences, connecting training and race-day intent at the moment it matters most

• Club Organizer Hub: A rebuilt home for club leaders at strava.com/club-organizers, with new and updated resources to help both new and returning organizers build and grow their clubs

The launch of Races within Strava brings thousands of active global events, now native in Strava. Users can also search races across a number of filters, including: distance, date, location, sport, elevation and temperature. Similarly, local Club Events can be filtered by date, location, format and distance.
