Shamilee Arora, an associate in the Litigation Department in London, was profiled by The Lawyer for her role on the Willkie team that is advising on one of the publication's Top 20 Cases of 2026.

Shamilee is the senior associate of the team that recently defended its client in a six-week trial in the English High Court in Waddell v Bluebell Cars, a trial that The Lawyer previously named as one of the 20 notable cases of 2026. The multiple issues at trial include defending rights of "step-in" to address financial underperformance and the exercise of rights afforded to investors when faced with serious allegations of misconduct by a portfolio company's CEO.

The Lawyer profile discussed Shamilee's path to Willkie, her growth as an up-and-coming associate and her contributions to the Willkie team in major cases.

"I read everything - every letter, every document and every filing," Shamilee told The Lawyer. "I cannot add value or support a junior team member, the partner or the client when they ask for my view if I'm not the most familiar of anybody with the subject matter."

The Willkie litigation team in Waddell v Bluebell Cars is led by partner Simon Osborn-King and includes associates Shamilee Arora, Tessa Carlisle and Isabella Eaton.
