West Volunteer Spotlight: Rashmitha Kittur Mahadeva

West team member, Rashmitha Kittur Mahadeva, Software Engineer, Robotics & Computer Vision, R&D in Bangalore, has shown a strong dedication to impacting her community. Passionate about community involvement, Rashmitha has actively participated in initiatives aimed at fostering change.

As an active member of the Helping Hands CSR Committee for 2023-2024, organized by the West Bangalore Team, Rashmitha has contributed significantly to community engagement, fundraising, and volunteer projects. The Helping Hands initiative enables Rashmitha and fellow team members to focus their enthusiasm on structured projects, collaborating with like-minded individuals to impact real change.

Reflecting on her volunteer experiences, Rashmitha remarked, "Volunteering allows me to contribute to causes that truly make a difference, whether it supports education, healthcare, or community welfare. I believe that small, consistent efforts can create lasting transformations, and that's what motivated me to continue volunteering."

A highlight for Rashmitha and her team was participating in the Helping Hands donation drive with the theme "Compassion in Action." The West Bangalore Team partnered with Pragathi Charitable Trust, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing food, shelter, and employment for the underprivileged and disabled. This organization has been serving their communities for the past seven years all around Bangalore and Karnataka. Together they were able to collect drawing and coloring books, cricket and badminton kits, and blankets to provide school children with essential supplies needed in the classroom. Going beyond mere donations, the team engaged with the children through a fun and educational session on cleanliness and hygiene, creating a memorable experience.

Rashmitha shared that the joy on the children's faces motivates her to continue her community work, seeing firsthand the positive impact their efforts have. Her experience with Helping Hands has reinforced her commitment to social responsibility and has highlighted the collective impact of teamwork on the community.
