Gov. Lee Announces Key Judicial Appointments
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Today, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee announced two key judicial appointments to newly created positions in the 30th Judicial District, which serves Shelby County. The positions were established by the Tennessee General Assembly during the 2026 legislative session.
"I am proud to announce the appointment of these highly qualified individuals and value the significant experience they will bring to the bench," said Gov. Lee. "I appreciate their leadership and am confident they will serve Tennesseans with integrity."
The following Tennesseans have been appointed:
· Paul Hagerman
· Marques Young
Paul Hagerman currently serves as Deputy District Attorney General at the Shelby County District Attorney General's Office. He earned his bachelor's degree at Vanderbilt University and juris doctor at New York University School of Law.
Marques Young currently serves as Deputy Criminal Chief in the United States Attorney's Office for the Western District of Tennessee, within the Department of Justice. He earned his bachelor's degree at University of Memphis and juris doctor at Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law.
