Salesloft Drift Data Breach: Update to Our Customers

We want to inform our customers that PagerDuty was notified by Salesloft on August 20, 2025, of a security issue in the Drift application. On August 23rd, Salesloft indicated that as a result of this breach, attackers obtained PagerDuty credentials from Salesloft Drift and potentially gained access to PagerDuty's Salesforce data. On August 27th, Salesloft recommended additional actions for Drift customers who manage their own Drift connections to third-party applications. Background information of the security issue has been provided by Salesloft , Salesforce and Google Threat Intelligence Group .

We have disabled Salesloft Drift's access to PagerDuty's Salesforce data as we continue our investigation. We have not seen any indication that access to the PagerDuty platform or any other internal systems or resources beyond Salesforce may have occurred.

Given the potential exposure of names, phone numbers, and email addresses, PagerDuty recommends extra vigilance with respect to potential phishing and social engineering attacks. PagerDuty will never contact anyone by phone to request a password or any other secure details. All official communication from PagerDuty comes through our trusted support channels.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact [email protected] .
