New York, NY and Walpole, MA, August 11, 2026 - Surplus Solutions LLC ("Surplus Solutions"), a portfolio company of NMS Capital ("NMS"), announced today the acquisition of Boston Industries ("Boston Industries" or the "Company"), a Walpole, Massachusetts-based specialist in the technical repair and refurbishment of laboratory instruments. The acquisition adds in-house technical service expertise in flow cytometry, microscopy, liquid handling, and other core instrument categories, widening the range of laboratory equipment Surplus Solutions can repair and refurbish directly for its biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and life sciences customers. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 2013, Boston Industries has spent more than a decade restoring high-value laboratory instruments to full working condition and returning them to labs around the world. Operating from its facility in Walpole, MA, the Company specializes in the repair and refurbishment of liquid-handling robotics, flow cytometry, microscopy and imaging, nucleic acid preparation, and PCR systems. Boston Industries has delivered instruments to customers in more than 45 countries, including biotechnology firms, pharmaceutical companies, academic research institutions, and industrial laboratories, and carries a large inventory of current-model instruments.
