County Hosts Community Resource Fair in South Bay

Reading Time: < 1 minute

County support teams are reaching beyond their office space and meeting the needs of at-risk populations right in their own neighborhoods, most recently in South Bay.

A Community Resource Fair was held at the Chula Vista Public Library on September 24 to deliver critical programs and services directly to the people who need them most. The free event was organized by the County of San Diego Probation Department with support from the County's Health and Human Services Agency and in partnership with the Chula Vista Library. More than 50 local agencies and community organizations also participated.

This was the first Community Resource Fair in South Bay, and though it was primarily to help adult and youth clients involved in the justice system, it was open to the public for anyone in need of resources. Medical services, mental health support, substance use disorder treatment, and employment preparation were all available to provide opportunities for community members.
