Carson County Rallies Behind Local Heroes

On Saturday, September 19, neighbors from across Carson County gathered in downtown Panhandle for the annual Carson County's Heroes event, supporting the volunteer fire departments, EMS personnel, and local families who are there when their community needs them most.

Earlier this year, Fermi America partnered with Carson County's Heroes to launch a matching fund, committing to match community donations dollar for dollar up to $5,000. Carson County answered the call, raising approximately $5,000 and unlocking Fermi's full match. Together, those contributions resulted in roughly $10,000 going directly back into the community and supporting the people and organizations that serve it every day.

Members of the Fermi team were grateful to join the community for Saturday's event, spend time with local residents, and recognize the first responders and volunteers who make Carson County a stronger place to live and work. For Fermi, partnerships like this are an important part of what it means to be a neighbor in the Texas Panhandle.

As we continue building Project Matador, our commitment to the region extends beyond the work happening at the project site. It means showing up, listening, participating, and investing alongside the communities we call home.
