City Accepting Applications for Centennial Youth Commission

The City of Centennial is accepting applications to serve on the Centennial Youth Commission. Students interested in serving on the Youth Commission need to complete an application online. Applications are due at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, November 1.

Youth Commissioners will learn how Centennial's government works, lead special projects that have real impacts, and develop confidence and leadership skills.

Applications are open to all students ages 13 - 18 who live, attend school or involved with the Centennial community. Selected Commissioners will be appointed and begin work in November 2026.

Youth Commissioners will participate in regular meetings, discussions, leadership activities and community projects throughout the year. Opportunities may include:

  • Sharing ideas and perspectives with City staff and community leaders
  • Learning how local government works
  • Helping plan and complete a youth-led community service project
  • Participating in leadership development activities
  • Representing youth perspectives in conversations about Centennial's future
  • Building leadership, communication and teamwork skills
  • Connecting with other young people from across Centennial
  • Participating in community service and civic engagement projects
