The City of Simi Valley is accepting applications from community members interested in serving on a Neighborhood Council Executive Board. The City welcomes applicants who bring a variety of perspectives and experiences and are interested in strengthening communication between residents and City leadership.
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and reside within the City of Simi Valley. Successful candidates will be appointed by the City Council to serve a two-year term from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2028.
Neighborhood Councils meet monthly and play an important role in representing community voices. These councils provide advice to the City Council and Planning Commission on resident concerns, development proposals, and other issues referred to them by the City Council. They also offer residents an opportunity to ask questions, share feedback about their neighborhoods, and engage in conversations about local issues affecting the community. In addition, Neighborhood Council meetings provide a forum for developers to meet with residents and discuss projects early in the planning process.
Residents interested in getting involved and making a difference in their community are encouraged to apply.
