On March 28, 2026, Mr. Arif Sulistiyo, Representative of the Indonesian Economic and Trade Office to Taipei, led a delegation of eight officials on a visit to the newly established Passenger Service Center at Shuitou Port in Kinmen. Accompanied by Senior Executive Officer Cheng Ming-Chang of the Kinmen Administrative Center, National Immigration Agency, Ministry of the Interior, the delegation became the first group of foreign officials to tour the facility.

During the visit, Deputy Commander Chu Shih-Chuan of the NIA's Kinmen Border Affairs Corps provided an overview of current clearance operations under the Mini Three Links, including passenger flow trends, inspection procedures, and service measures.

Representative Sulistiyo noted that the primary purpose of the trip was to engage with Indonesian new residents in the Kinmen area. He remarked that the opportunity to observe Mini Three Links clearance operations firsthand was highly valuable, expressing strong appreciation for the efficiency of the overall process and the thoughtful design of the facilities. He also commended the NIA's ongoing efforts to enhance border management and service quality.

The National Immigration Agency welcomed the visit, stating that such exchanges help strengthen mutual understanding and cooperation in border management and services for new residents.

Since the trial operation of the new Passenger Service Center at Shuitou Port began on February 3, the integration of next-generation automated immigration clearance system (e-Gate) has significantly improved processing efficiency and provided travelers with a smoother arrival and departure experience. In response to growing demand under the Mini Three Links, the NIA will continue to refine e-Gate technologies and optimize service mechanisms, ensuring both border security and a more convenient, traveler-friendly environment.
