'Stripe Savage' Set for Battle of I-75 Game on Saturday

Savage Arena will be decked out in midnight blue and gold for the "Stripe Savage" promotion for the Battle of I-75 contest sponsored by the Fremont Federal Credit Union when the Toledo men's basketball team hosts Bowling Green on Saturday, Jan. 24, at 5 p.m.

Fans are being urged to wear midnight blue or gold inside Savage Arena based on their seat location.

A tremendous half-time show also will be returning to Savage Arena for the BG game with the Pop Rocks performing their electrifying acts.

The first 400 UToledo students at the game will receive a FREE Gold "Falcon Free Zone" shirt to wear in the student section.

Toledo is currently leading the Mid-American Conference in attendance with an average of 4,125 fans per game. The Rockets have drawn their two biggest crowds of season in the past week, with 5,143 vs. Miami and 4,552 vs. Ohio.
