Luke Bryan revealed "the insane budget" for his first music video, and how much his budget has changed over time.
Bryan recently caught up with Bobby Bones on an episode of The BobbyCast, and the pair talked about some of Bryan's biggest hits of his career. Bobby brought up Bryan's "All My Friends Say," the lead single from his debut studio album in 2007.
"I remember doing the video," the country megastar reflected. "I mean, this is where video budgets were at the time. Think about this. They had like hors d'oeuvres trays at my first video…for the people that were working. Hors d'oeuvres. And like, 'sir, would you like an espresso?' So, our video budget was like 200 grand. You can't get 20 grand for a video budget these days. Like, our videos are pretty much us with an iPhone," Bryan said as he and Bobby laughed.
Bobby shared the clip on Instagram, writing in the caption that the "insane" budget is a "retro flex."
Bryan also spoke about his "son's football journey take off, including the attention that came with his first high school start and what it's like navigating recruiting, agents and expectations as a dad. Then, Bobby counts down his Top 10 Luke Bryan songs as Luke shares the stories behind hits like 'That's My Kind of Night,' 'Rain Is a Good Thing,' 'Drink a Beer' and 'Do I.' Luke also talks about the country artists who influenced him, how he views award show nominations at this point in his career, and what he still wants to accomplish with his music," according to the episode's description.
