Healthcare Bluebook rebrands; New rewards start Jan. 1

Healthcare Bluebook is now Vālenz Bluebook. This new name reflects Bluebook's connection to the broader Vālenz Healthcare platform while continuing the same great services you rely on. Although the look is changing, the tools, support and trusted experience you've come to expect will remain the same. You'll continue to access Bluebook just as you do today, through our website, mobile app or by contacting member services.

This rebranding marks the beginning of a new chapter, but the goal remains constant: to help you find high-quality care at a Fair Price™. Vālenz Bluebook continues to guide you toward affordable, high-quality providers and facilities in your area, ensuring you receive the care you need without unnecessary cost.

Introducing Engagement Rewards

Beginning Jan. 1, 2026, Vanderbilt University employees and their covered dependents enrolled in the Choice CDHP or Select PPO health options will be eligible to participate in the Engagement Rewards Program. This program allows you to earn cash rewards for select services like colonoscopies, stress tests, MRIs, infusions, and many more, simply by making informed healthcare choices.

Here's how to qualify:

1. First, visit Vālenz Bluebook prior to scheduling your healthcare service. You can do this by:
   • Logging in to the Vālenz Bluebook websiteor mobile app using mobile code: VU. Services included in the program will be noted as Rewards Eligible.
   • Calling Member Services at 800-341-0504
   • Logging in and selecting "Contact Us" to connect with Member Services
2. Choose a Fair Price™ (green-rated) facility.
   • For outpatient services, select a facility with a green price ranking to earn a reward.
   • For inpatient services, use a facility with both a green quality ranking and green price ranking to receive the maximum reward. Alternatively, choosing a facility with a green quality ranking and yellow price ranking qualifies you for a smaller reward.

After your service has been performed and Aetna has processed the claim, Valenz Bluebook will confirm that your service qualifies and mail a debit card preloaded with your cash reward directly to your home address on file. You don't need to do anything to claim your reward!
