Various Closures On Interstate 5 And State Route 108

Stanislaus County- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on Interstate 5 and State Route 108 (SR-108) for maintenance and construction work within Stanislaus County. Work will occur as follows:

Interstate 5

  • Long-term, full closures of the northbound and southbound Westley Safety Roadside Rest Areas and the auxiliary lane leading to the southbound rest area exit for construction work.
    Note: This project is expected to continue through the spring of 2026.

State Route 108

  • Overnight, one-way traffic control from 8th Street to Mesa Drive for utility work beginning Sunday, March 15, through Friday, March 20, from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
