2026 October Employee of the Month

Congratulations to our October Employee of the Month Network Engineer Cody Koppelman.

Cody has been with the city since 2017 and has steadily moved upwards in our Information Technology department; he was promoted to Network Engineer in 2021. As a Network Engineer Cody provides technical support for the City's computer and communication networks such as the Local Area, Wide Area and Telecommunications Networks.

Cody was nominated by his co-workers because he is always willing to step up and take on new challenges with a strong customer-first approach. One example is the significant amount of money Cody saved the city in consulting fees for the design and implementation of Teams Calling. He streamlined the phone system deployment and implementation process to meet a short timeline and kept it easily maintainable.

He continues to support users after their implementations were complete with training and deploying the system to new groups. He's shown outstanding professionalism in every aspect of the change. Cody has gone beyond what was expected of him and did much of the work on his own. His sense of humor keeps the team laughing, and he genuinely cares about his colleagues and the people he supports.
