MADISON, Wisconsin - TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) is honored to again be named a top Wisconsin workplace for veterans. The company has been recognized as a 2025 gold award winner in the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development's Vets Ready Employer Initiative, which showcases employers that invest in and support veterans and their families.

The Vets Ready Employer Initiative recognizes employers that prioritize veteran hires, connect and support the veteran community, and offer support services to help military personnel transition to the civilian workforce. TDS has received the gold award designation five times since 2020.
TDS, which employs 379 veterans, works diligently to make veterans aware of employment opportunities and, once they are employed, ensure they are supported. For associates on military leave, TDS offers differential compensation, continuation of health care coverage, and the company share of insurance premiums. TDS also gives veterans an extra day off to show appreciation for their service.
TDS' Patriot Associate Resource Group provides a sub-community within the larger company workforce for veterans, current military service members, first responders, and non-military supporters. Founded in 2016, the group offers avenues for volunteerism, support for various service organizations, knowledge sessions, and celebrates military holidays and events. The Patriot ARG also has a program called Battle Buddies, in which new veteran associates are paired with a tenured veteran associate to be a resource as they navigate the new hire process.
