Press Release: Workforce Development Month Continues with Events for Job Seekers and Employers Statewide

(Denver) - Workforce Development Month activities continue across the state while celebrating the unification of Colorado's public workforce system under its new brand Workforce Colorado.

The state's public workforce system is a partnership of state and county-run workforce regions. Spearheaded by the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE), the new Workforce Colorado brand showcases the powerful collaboration between state and local partners working together to build Colorado's economic future. Through its statewide network of 50+ workforce centers and the newly modernized Connecting Colorado labor exchange, Workforce Colorado connects job seekers with employment, helps employers find qualified workers, provides support during economic downturns and transitions, delivers business support services and serves as Colorado's skills development hub through training and educational pathways that both help workers advance their careers and strengthen the state's talent pipeline.

Celebrated nationally every September and recognized in Colorado with a proclamation issued by Gov. Jared Polis, Workforce Development Month is an annual tradition to highlight the impact workforce services have on Colorado workers and employers alike. During the final two weeks of the month, community members are encouraged to check out the events happening both virtually and in-person in their local regions.
