ADOT’s Safety Message Contest returns for the ninth year

It's back!

I'm excited to announce that ADOT's Safety Message Contest is now open and accepting submissions. Arizonans can submit their engaging traffic safety messages through Sept. 22 at azdot.gov/SignContest.

This contest, now in its ninth year, is an opportunity for anyone to see their creative safety messages displayed on ADOT's dynamic message signs statewide and for us to start conversations about safe driving behaviors.

After the public submits their ideas, we'll review all of the entries and select at least 10 finalists for the public to vote on. The two messages with the most votes will be the winners and will be displayed on our overhead message signs statewide.

Our goal is for these messages to help influence driver behavior and encourage drivers to make better decisions behind the wheel.

I can't wait to see what Arizonans come up with this year!
