ATLANTA - State Representative Demetrius Douglas (D-Stockbridge) will host a Neurotherapy Awareness Months event on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. in room 216 of the Georgia State Capitol.
The event seeks to recognize January and August as Neurotherapy Awareness Months, highlighting non-invasive, evidence-based brain health treatments amid the growing mental health crisis.
Neurotherapy is a non-invasive, science-based approach that helps optimize brain and nervous system function using technologies such as brain mapping (qEEG), neurofeedback, biofeedback, heart rate variability (HRV) training, hemoencephalography (HEG), neurostimulation and interactive metronome training. These methods seek to support the brain's natural ability to regulate and adapt, helping improve focus, emotional balance, sleep, learning and overall cognitive performance across the lifespan.
