New Permanent Representative of Bulgaria presents credentials

VIENNA, 11 November (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Bulgaria to the United Nations (Vienna), Ivan Gospodinovpresented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV) Ghada Waly.

During his career, Mr. Gospodinov has served in various capacities, among them:

Director of UN and Global Affairs Directorate, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2023-2025); Counsellor at the Permanent Mission to the UN, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and other International Organizations in Vienna (2018-2023); Head of OSCE and Regional Security Cooperation Department, International Security Directorate, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2016-2018); First Secretary, Permanent Mission of Bulgaria to the European Union in Brussels (2012-2016); Desk officer for the United Kingdom and Ireland, European States Directorate, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2010-2012); Second Secretary, Permanent Mission of Bulgaria to the UN in Geneva (2007-2010); Chief Expert, UN and Global Affairs Directorate, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2005-2007); and Third Secretary, Permanent Mission of Bulgaria to the UN in Geneva (2002-2005).

Mr. Ivan Gospodinovholds master's degrees in international relations and in law from Sofia University.

He speaks Bulgarian, English, French, Spanish and Russian.
