Cognizant Named a Top Internship Program in Vault's 2027 Internship Rankings

Program rises in Best Internships overall, Consulting, and Software Engineering & Development, and is ranked for the first time in Employment Prospects and Quality of Life

October 21, 2026 -- Cognizant (Nasdaq: CTSH) today announced that its U.S. Fusion Internship Program is once again named a top program in Vault's 2027 Internship Rankings. The rankings are based on interns' assessments of areas including career development, employment prospects, quality of life, compensation and benefits, and workplace culture.

Fusion's 2027 rankings for Cognizant include:

• #6 in Consulting, up from #11
• #30 in Software Engineering & Development, up from #34
• #21 in Employment Prospects, ranked for the first time
• #55 in Quality of Life, ranked for the first time

The Employment Prospects ranking reflects how confident interns are that Fusion leads to a full-time career. Hiring results support that view: 92% of U.S. interns who received offers chose to continue their careers at Cognizant. Those hires came from 31 U.S. universities.

Today's students are entering the workforce ready to build with AI, and Fusion is one of the main ways Cognizant brings that talent in. During the nine-week program, interns work on real client and business projects. This summer, they helped develop AI capabilities, including for a maintenance audit platform, cutting audit turnaround from days to seconds. In their feedback, interns pointed to three things: mentorship and support from Cognizant associates, hands-on experience with AI and modern technologies, and the community they found at the company.
