MacKay Welcomes Tara Schleeman as Occupational Safety and Health Manager

MacKay is pleased to welcome Tara Schleeman, CSP, CIT, as our new Occupational Safety and Health Manager. Based in Butte, MT, Tara brings 27 years of experience supporting safe, efficient workplace operations across safety, compliance, training, field operations, and organizational change.

Tara joins MacKay through our acquisition of Pioneer Technical Services, adding extensive safety and health expertise to our growing team. In her role, she will help strengthen safety programs and support employees and teams across MacKay and its subsidiaries, including Riparia Environmental.

A Practical, People-Focused Approach to Safety

Tara is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Certified Instructional Trainer (CIT) through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. She is also an authorized OSHA 10- and 30-hour trainer for General Industry and Construction and a certified MSHA instructor.

Throughout her career, Tara has worked across workplace safety, OSHA and MSHA compliance, employee training, field operations, and organizational change. She brings a practical approach to navigating complex policies and regulatory requirements, focusing on clear guidance that employees and organizations can apply in their day-to-day work.

Her approach to safety is rooted in collaboration, compassion, teamwork, respect, and professionalism. Whether developing safety programs, helping teams navigate change, or mentoring others, Tara is focused on creating a strong safety culture while supporting the people who put that culture into practice every day.
