Greetings to the participants, organisers and guests of the 20th International Judo Tournament for Police and Army honouring the memory of the personnel who died in the line of[...]

The message reads, in part:

"Over the past years, your competition has established a tradition of bringing together police officers, servicemen, rescue workers and members of the specialised agencies from many countries. It has won high praise and features prominently on the international sports calendar.

This tournament has become famous for its spectacular and intense encounters, the proficiency of competitors, their character, will power and determination to win. All this contributed to the event's popularity. Of course, I must mention on a special note the We Remember charity programme, which is carried out by the competition organisers - the National Union of Judo Veterans and the Defenders of the Fatherland State Foundation to Support Participants in the Special Military Operation. This is a major and popular initiative with a very important purpose of preserving the memory of the heroes and helping the families of our comrades who lost their lives in the line of professional duty."
