West Nile virus detected in mosquitoes in Santa Ana

The Orange County Mosquito and Vector Control District has confirmed mosquito samples testing positive for West Nile virus in Santa Ana. Area residents can take precautions by wearing mosquito repellent when mosquitoes are most active (at dawn and dusk), keeping mosquitoes out of homes and removing water sources where mosquitoes breed.
