At the 2026 Creative Industries Forum of the Commonwealth, held as part of the Friendship of Peoples Festival at VDNH in Moscow, experts discussed the development of the creative economy, regulatory frameworks, export potential, and the role of science, education, tourism, and culture in supporting the sector.
Head of the Congress Activities Department of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat, as well as Head of the Travel Hub "Commonwealth" project Yulia Zaikova addressed the session online. She noted that the IPA CIS Model Law on Creative Industries provides a common framework for regulating the sector across the Commonwealth countries.
Yulia Zaikova also presented the international Travel Hub "Commonwealth" initiative, which brings together legislators and businesses to promote cooperation, develop cross-border tourism projects and routes, and facilitate joint policy solutions.
Special attention was given to the International Forum Commonwealth of Fashion. In 2025, the event attracted around 3,000 participants from more than 30 countries, while 255 entrepreneurs completed a free accelerator programme. In 2026, the initiative will expand into the Creative Economy Days, to be held in St. Petersburg on 28-31 October.
