Clyde Companies received a Lifetime Achievement Award and was inducted into the Utah Valley BusinessQ Hall of Fame at the publication's annual UV50 Gala at The Belvedere in Provo.
The honor comes during a milestone year for Clyde Companies, which is celebrating 100 years since W.W. Clyde founded the company in Springville, Utah, in 1926.
The award is the latest recognition from Utah Valley BusinessQ, which has also named Clyde Companies an Economic Engine 12 times for its impact on the local economy. Clyde Companies Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Ally Isom attended the gala on behalf of the company and spoke during the ceremony.
A lot has changed since Clyde Companies got its start in 1926. What began as a small construction company has grown into a family of companies serving communities across the Western United States. But its focus on people and doing business the right way hasn't changed.
In a recent interview with Utah Valley BusinessQ, Clyde Companies Chairman Wilford Clyde talked about what's helped the company succeed over the years.
"We value people. People are critical to our success," Clyde said. "That includes the people in our organization, our customers, the vendors we work with and the people in the communities where we work."
The Lifetime Achievement Award also recognizes the generations of team members who have helped build Clyde Companies into what it is today. Their hard work has brought the company to this milestone and laid the groundwork for the years ahead.
