A strong winter storm is forecast to bring up to 20 inches of snow to some Northeastern states late this weekend. The National Weather Service expects significant impacts from Delaware through southeastern New England, with the storm intensifying offshore and producing heavy snowfall, strong winds, and coastal concerns.

The primary impact window is late Sunday through Monday, with the most hazardous conditions occurring Sunday night into Monday morning. Snowfall rates exceeding one inch per hour are possible in some areas, combined with sustained strong winds that may lead to near whiteout conditions, power outages, and dangerous travel. Coastal locations face additional risk from onshore winds and elevated tides, while inland impacts will depend on the storm's final track and western extent.
