NOAA Fisheries has taken inseason action in the commercial salmon fishery north of Cape Falcon.

Effective May 1, 2026, at 12:01 a.m., for the May-June North of Falcon commercial ocean salmon troll fishery, the quota is modified to 37,300 Chinook salmon, no more than 7,460 of which may be caught in the area between the U.S./Canada border the Queets River and no more than 5,590 of which may be caught in the area between Leadbetter Point and Cape Falcon.

Effective May 1, 2026, at 12:01 a.m., for the commercial ocean salmon troll fishery, vessels in possession of salmon south of Leadbetter Point who are returning to port North of Leadbetter Point must offload all fish from the vessel prior to beginning a new fishing trip.

Effective May 1, 2026, at 12:01 a.m., for the commercial ocean salmon troll fishery, modify the landing and possession limit for the entire area between Cape Falcon and the U.S./Canada border to 250 Chinook salmon per vessel per landing week (Thursday through Wednesday) from May 1, 2026, to May 13, 2026.
