Veteran hospitality executive brings extensive Las Vegas operations and Marriott experience to downtown property
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA (September 17, 2026) - Jackson-Shaw, a national real estate developer headquartered in North Texas, announces the appointment of Melissa Diette as General Manager of the AC Hotel by Marriott® Symphony Park and Element® by Westin Symphony Park in Las Vegas.
Diette brings more than a decade of hospitality leadership experience, with expertise in hotel operations, guest experience, revenue optimization, and team development. Her background includes leadership roles at several Las Vegas properties, including General Manager at SpringHill Suites Las Vegas Convention Center, Assistant General Manager at Hyatt Place Las Vegas at Silverton Village, and Director of Front Office at The Westin Las Vegas Hotel, Casino & Spa.
"Melissa brings an impressive combination of operational expertise, strong leadership and deep knowledge of the Las Vegas hospitality market," said Jackson-Shaw Senior Vice President of Hospitality Development Joe Blewitt. "Her experience building high-performing teams, elevating guest satisfaction and maximizing hotel performance makes her an excellent fit to lead the AC Hotel by Marriott Symphony Park and Element by Westin Symphony Park."
Most recently, Diette served as a General Manager at the Element Hotel in Sedona. She previously worked as an independent hotel operations consultant in Las Vegas and served as Director of Operations at Dreamscape Companies. Her career includes extensive experience overseeing front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, guest services, budgeting, revenue management, and hotel transitions.
During her tenure as General Manager of SpringHill Suites Las Vegas Convention Center, Diette oversaw hotel operations, managed renovation projects, and implemented strategies to enhance guest service and financial performance. Under her leadership, the property increased its guest satisfaction score by 38 points and was named Crescent Hotels & Resorts' Hotel of the Year in 2021.

The two hotels, seamlessly connected under one roof, are on the south side of South Grand Central Parkway at Symphony Park Avenue, between the World Market Center and The Smith Center for the Performing Arts. They share a single address and offer 441 upscale guest rooms. The five-story development opened in September 2025. The hotel's management company is Crescent Hotels & Resorts.
