The City Council on Tuesday recognized three outstanding sports leagues, a longtime business and shade structures at the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center.
A lively presentation that drew excitement throughout the Council Chamber, the City Council recognized North Mission Viejo Little League, South Mission Viejo Little League and Viejo Little League for their contributions to the vibrant youth sports in our community.
As part of the City's Business Spotlight program, the City Council recognizedA-Z Tech Automotive, a family-owned business that has been providing convenient and high-quality personalized automotive repair service in Mission Viejo for decades.
In other news, the Council unanimously voted to award an agreement to install shade structures at the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center. The structures will include two for the dog play yards and one for the wildlife rehabilitation area. Derived from accumulated donation revenues, the Animal Services fund balance will pay for this installation.
The Council also unanimously voted to adopt a Renewed Measure M (M2) Seven-Year Capital Improvement Program (CIP), beginning with the 2026/27 fiscal year. Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) requires each OC municipality to annually update and approve an M2 Seven-Year CIP that inventories all projects and programs, which are proposed to be entirely or partially funded with OCTA's M2 funds.
