WASHINGTON, D.C. - May 15, 2026…Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) today voted in support of the Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act that was passed by the U.S. House of Representatives. This bill allocates $157 billion in discretionary funding-nearly $4 billion over the FY 2026 enacted level.
Congressman Womack said, "House Appropriators have made it a top priority to restore regular order to the annual government funding process, and today's House passage of the Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations bill brings us closer to achieving that objective. Moreover, this bill fully funds support systems for our veterans while also strengthening the infrastructure our servicemembers rely on to protect our nation. It is my hope that we can continue this momentum and pass full-year funding bills on time for Fiscal Year 2027, fulfilling our responsibility to the American people."
