Alameda County - Caltrans will begin nighttime storm drain replacement work along Oak Street between 3rd Street and 9th Street in Oakland. The project includes removing aging storm drain infrastructure and installing a new 48-inch storm drain system to improve drainage capacity, reduce the risk of flooding, and enhance the long-term reliability of the roadway. To minimize impacts on daytime traffic and nearby businesses, work will occur overnight and progress block-by-block. Traffic control measures and detours will be in place to protect workers and motorists during construction.
