Governor Polis Appoints David K. Ottman to the 6th Judicial District Court
DENVER - Today, Governor Polis appointed David K. Ottman to the 6th Judicial District Court. The vacancy is created by the Honorable Anthony Baca not standing for retention and is effective January 13, 2027.
Mr. Ottman is the owner at Ottman Law, LLC, a position he has held since 2022. His practice consists of civil matters and criminal defense. Previously, he was an Assistant District Attorney (2017-2022) and Deputy District Attorney (2009-2017) in the 6th Judicial District Attorney's Office; Deputy District Attorney in the 11th Judicial District Attorney's Office (2004-2009); Staff Attorney at Colorado Legal Services, Inc. (2003-2004); and Associate Attorney at Mathis & Associates, PC (2001-2002). Mr. Ottman earned his B.A. from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1995 and his J.D. from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 2001.
