Artwork by people who are deaf or hard of hearing will be on display for the 2025 Deaf Awareness Month Reception and Art Show, Sept. 30 from 2 to 4 p.m., in Public Hearing Room 125 at the John H. Winters Building in Austin.
The theme of this year's art show is "Expressions via Visual Arts - Where Silence Speaks in Color, Form and Movement."
The event will showcase a selection of visual artwork created by people who are deaf or hard of hearing from across Texas.
Attendees will experience visual media, such as paintings, drawings, mixed media, and photography in an atmosphere that encourages community connection, creative expression, and public education about deaf culture and identity through art.
