Penn State Altoona women's volleyball middle hitter Jayden Ulmer, of Williamsport, was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's Defensive Player of the Week, after the league announced its weekly awards on Nov. 3.
LATROBE, Pa. - Penn State Altoona women's volleyball middle hitter Jayden Ulmer, of Williamsport, was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's Defensive Player of the Week, after the league announced its weekly awards on Nov. 3.
Ulmer totaled three solo blocks and 13 block assists during a 2-0 week of AMCC conference play for the Lions last week.
In a 3-1 victory against La Roche last Wednesday, Ulmer had one solo block and seven block assists. Ulmer followed up that performance with two solo blocks and six block assists in a three-set sweep of Penn State Behrend.
Through 24 games this season, Ulmer leads the conference in block assists with 52, total blocks with 66, and blocks per set with 1.02.
Penn State Altoona women's volleyball is 13-11 (5-2 in the AMCC).
