Chinese Ambassador to The Bahamas Yan Jiarong Participates in Panel Discussion on 'Women and Multilateralism'

On 20 October 2025, Her Excellency Yan Jiarong, Chinese Ambassador to The Bahamas, participated in the panel discussion on "Women and Multilateralism" during the Diplomatic Week hosted by the Bahamian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The event was broadcast live by ZNS, the Bahamian national television.

Ambassador Yan elaborated on the successful convening of the Global Leaders' Meeting on Women held in Beijing in October 2025. She also spoke on women's development in Chinese modernization and China's contributions to leading the global development of women. She emphasized that President Xi Jinping proposed Building a Community with a Shared Future for Humanity and four Global Initiatives that have significantly advanced the global women's cause. She expressed China's readiness to work with The Bahamas to jointly implement the outcomes of Global Leaders' Meeting on Women and deepen exchanges and cooperation in women's affairs.

Leaders of The Bahamas, including Prime Minister Philip Davis, Bahamian heads of diplomatic missions as well as foreign ambassadors, honorary consuls, and representatives of international and regional organizations participated in diplomatic week's various activities.
