Northern Lights – well integrity
The audit was conducted on 29 and 30 October 2025.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to ensure that Northern Lights complies with regulatory requirements and its own internal requirements in monitoring well integrity and preventing leaks from the CO2 injectors on the Aurora wells.
The audit included verification of technical, operational and organisational barriers for safeguarding the well integrity of the Aurora wells, and verification of the management system for following up the maintenance programme for the wells.
Result
We did not identify any non-conformities during the audit. However, an improvement point was identified concerning competence requirements in the management system.
What happens next?
We have asked Northern Lights to provide us, by 10 January 2026, with their assessment of the improvement point observed.
