UWF celebrates record-breaking eighth annual Day of Giving

The University of West Florida is proud to announce the success of its eighth annual Day of Giving, raising $278,554 from 1,078 donors and exceeding its fundraising goal by more than $100,000.

This year's Day of Giving also achieved a significant milestone in national engagement, with contributions received from all 50 states for the first time ever, highlighting the growing reach and support of the UWF community across the country.

"On behalf of the Board of Trustees, we are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming generosity shown during this year's Day of Giving," said Board of Trustees Chair Rebecca Matthews. "Not only did we surpass our goal by a remarkable margin, but we also received support from every state - an inspiring testament to the strength of the UWF community and the shared belief in our mission."

The Day of Giving is an annual, 24-hour fundraising initiative held during UWF Founders Week that ties back to the University's broader Here for Good campaign and unites alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends in support of key university priorities. Gifts made during the campaign directly support scholarships, academic programs, student experiences and strategic initiatives that enhance the University's impact.

This year's success comes at an exciting time for UWF as the University continues to build momentum around major initiatives, including its transition to Division I athletics and expanded opportunities for student success and community engagement.

"The impact of this collective generosity will be felt across campus," said UWF President Manny Diaz Jr. "Our donors are investing in our students, empowering innovation and helping position UWF for continued growth and excellence."
