DALLAS - Alexander Cruz, a 2018 Sunset High School graduate, has come full circle as assistant director of bands at his alma mater. After a successful band experience in college, he returned to Sunset to guide its marching, concert, and jazz bands. His journey reflects the lasting impact of Dallas ISD teachers and his dedication to shaping the next generation of musicians through the power of music education.

District holiday
On Monday, Sept. 1, Dallas ISD schools and offices will be closed in observance of Labor Day. Normal hours of operation will resume Tuesday, Sept. 2.
