Minister of Foreign Affairs attends the Extended Informal Consultation on the sidelines of the 47th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Kuala Lumpur

On 24 October 2025, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, participated in the Extended Informal Consultation on the implementation of Five-Point Consensus (5PC) on the situation in Myanmar on the sidelines of the 47th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The consultation, held under the leadership of Malaysian Foreign Minister, in the capacity of ASEAN Chair, discussed way forward on addressing the situation in Myanmar, with Thailand playing a constructive role in advancing key priorities, particularly in prioritising humanitarian assistance for Myanmar as the basis for confidence-building and paving the way for inclusive dialogue, as well as reinforcing the effectiveness and continuity of the Special Envoy mechanism.
