Public Comment Period Open: Be a Part of the Region’s Transportation Future

The Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (MWCOG) is asking for public input on Visualize 2050, a plan that looks at the state of transportation in our region and how it will grow and improve through the year 2050.

The plan includes ideas and investments to make it easier and safer for everyone to get around, whether by car, bus, train, bike, or on foot. It focuses on improving transportation performance, reliability, and safety; expanding affordable options; ensuring environmental resilience; and providing opportunity and a high-quality of life for everyone in our region.

Your feedback helps regional leaders decide what's most important, what might be missing, and how to make future updates even better. Public comment is open October 23 - November 21, 2025.
