FloridaCommerce Announces Funding Available through the Small Cities Community Development Block Grant Program

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Today, FloridaCommerce announced that funding is available through the Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). Funding is available for the Neighborhood Revitalization, Housing Rehabilitation, Commercial Revitalization and Economic Development program areas.

Interested applicants should email [email protected] to request a link to the electronic application portal or to receive additional instructions on how to complete and submit the application. Detailed instructions and access to upload completed documents will be provided by return email.

All applications must be received by 5 p.m. Eastern Time on May 5, 2026, to be considered for funding.

Additionally, FloridaCommerce will host a webinar on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, to offer technical assistance and an overview of the application process. Register for the webinar here.

To date, and in preparation for this funding cycle, FloridaCommerce has hosted 117 technical assistance meetings with local governments and municipalities across the state.

The Florida Small Cities CDBG program, funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and administered by FloridaCommerce, provides critical resources to municipalities and counties. Since 2019, Florida has awarded more than $157 million to more than 140 communities through this program.
