Sky Harbour Hangers Appeal Next Steps

On August 18, Hillsboro City Council heard two appeals of a Planning Commission decision to approve a proposal from applicant Sky Harbour Hangers for development of private jet hangers at Hillsboro International Airport.

After several hours of presentations and testimony, the Council voted unanimously to extend the decision deadline and will deliberate and vote on the appeals at its regular meeting on October 6.

While oral testimony will no longer be accepted as part of the record, new written testimony and evidence can be submitted through Tuesday, August 25 at 5 pm. All testimony should be directed to Hillsboro Senior Planner Ruth Klein: [email protected].

The applicant and appellants will then have until 5 pm on September 1 to respond to any new evidence and testimony received. The applicant will have until 5 pm on September 8 to respond to any final evidence or rebuttal from the appellants.

Additional materials, including the initial development application, copies of the appeals, and hearing record through August 18 can be reviewed through the Hillsboro City Council agenda from August 18.
