AI Task Force launches campuswide survey on employee use of artificial intelligence

Marquette University's AI Task Force is seeking input from faculty and staff on how artificial intelligence is - or isn't - being used across teaching, clinical education, research, administrative operations and student success.

The survey focuses on employee perspectives and will help the university better understand where the campus community may need support, training, updated policies or new resources related to AI. This feedback will guide how Marquette approaches responsible and thoughtful AI adoption in ways that reflect our Catholic, Jesuit values and the people these tools are meant to serve.

The survey, which can be found in your email inbox, takes approximately five to 10 minutes, depending on how much you choose to share.

For this survey, AI includes any tool that can generate text or images, summarize content, make suggestions, analyze data or predict outcomes. This includes standalone tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, NotebookLM) as well as AI features embedded within platforms already used at Marquette (e.g., D2L Brightspace, Blackbaud, EHR systems, Slate and various research or classroom tools).

Providing your name is optional. Survey results will be reported in aggregate and will not be attributed to individuals. Respondents are asked to avoid including confidential, sensitive or controlled information. Those interested in participating in a follow-up conversation, focus group or research project may opt in at the end of the survey.
