On 12 June, the Permanent Representative of Lithuania to the International Organisations in Vienna, Ambassador Kęstutis Kudzmanas, presented his letter of credence to the Executive Secretary of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organisation (CTBTO), Dr Robert Floyd.
During the meeting, Kudzmanas reaffirmed Lithuania's support for the Treaty's universal application and the Organization's fundamental principle prohibiting States from conducting nuclear tests. The Lithuanian Representative stressed the importance of adhering to the moratorium on nuclear testing and underscored the significance of the CTBTO's international monitoring system. The Ambassador and the Executive Director also discussed opportunities to enhance the Organization's operational efficiency.
